REACHING OUT through the USM Fellowship

The Institute of Postgraduate Studies supports the mission of Universiti Sains Malaysia to improve the bottom billion through Outreach Programmes via smart partnership with Schools and Centres.
 

Through this programme, activities and events are carried out in rural areas across the regions to create awareness on issues as education, welfare, peace and others. Through this, the University identifies and offers the USM Fellowship to potential postgraduate candidates with excellent academic backgrounds but with limited financial supports to pursue higher education.

• USM-Mindanao Fellowship

One successful outreach program carried out was the Mindanao Outreach. 5 top performers from various areas in Mindanao were offered the USM Fellowship to further their PhDs with the University in various research areas.
